About Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway
Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway, D.Min, MAPH, is an experienced, ordained wedding officiant who is known for her warm, loving and creative approach to blessing couples of all backgrounds, and for guiding them on their journey to the altar and beyond. She is also an expert in reducing bridal stress.
For more than 20 years she has presided over a multicultural wedding ministry based in New York and is widely recognized as an expert on interfaith, intercultural, and highly personalized nondenominational weddings.
She has been called upon by couples around the world for her assistance in complex spiritual and cultural issues, and to help guide families through the interfaith marriage process. She honors relationships between all couples and believes in focusing on the common denominator of love.

As a contemporary clergy person, Rev. Laurie Sue specializes in creative and loving ceremonies for couples of all backgrounds, cultures and religions. She has happily married hundreds of couples in unique interfaith, multifaith, non-denominational, or non-religious wedding ceremonies, in locales that range from Central Park to castles to every place in between. She supports marriage equality.
Her couples are as diverse as the unique places they choose for their weddings. Rev. Laurie Sue writes each ceremony especially for each couples, and is comfortable including and blending elements from any tradition.
She is also called upon to create spiritual ceremonies without religion, and romantic ceremonies without a spiritual focus.

Rev. Laurie Sue has a psychology BA from SUNY in Human Development and Relationships. She studied Marriage and Family Therapy at Mercy College and the Ackerman Institute. She is a graduate of The New Seminary for Interfaith Studies, where she was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 1999. She returned to seminary for her Master of Interfaith Studies (M.Is) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min), which she received in 2021. She was inspired to return to graduate school at SUNY Empire State University to study the intersection of religion and history and received her Master of Art in Public History (MAPH) in 2024. She is authorized to perform marriage ceremonies in the State of New York and holds the required formal registration as a New York City wedding officiant.
